This is Laura's blog from a few weeks ago so we are excited to hear how she got on in the events she has participated in? Her training is going well and we are looking forward to her achieving some big results this season.

Hi all,
Hope all training is going well. 
I have had an enjoyable month. The start wasn’t very positive as I spent the first few days recovering from a chest infection and slipped on the early morning ice on my way to swimming, but that’s the way it goes sometimes I suppose!
My training sessions for a normal week have looked a bit like this:

Monday: Swim 3.2km
Tuesday: Cycle to work and back (Newton Abbot to Teignmouth), 45 minute on and off-road run
Wednesday: Swim 3.4km
Thursday: Cycle to work and back (Newton Abbot to Teignmouth), one hour on and off-road run
Friday: Swim 3.65km
Saturday: Swim 4.2km
Today: 2 hour bike ride (Teignmouth-Newton Abbot – Torquay- Teignmouth [via Combenteignhead and Shaldon & Ringmore])

In total I have swam 14.45km this week and I feel lucky that my elbow is a lot less painful and stiff than it would have been before my second op! I am excited to thank my surgeon in my follow-up appointment this week. 
I am looking forward to the Bath Half Marathon next week and the Exeter Triathlon Club Sidmouth aquathlon the week after.
